Spring, as Told by Things & Others

   No, I live near the equator. There are no such things as spring, summer, autumn, winter - there are only drought and rainy season - oh wait, durian season, mango season, holiday season, rambutan season, ...
   Well, as an equator person, I don't know much common things in spring, but I have some spring to-do ideas for your to-do lists!

1. Make Pom-poms!
  

   

   Making pom-poms is a fun thing to do! It looks a bit difficult, but it's not that complicated, trust me. Plus, there are many cute and unique pom-pom tutorials out there!

2. Paint Your Planters!

 

   Flowers usually blossom when it's spring. Make their planters blossom, too!

3. Make Mini Roadtrip Journals!

  

   Roadtrips leave us many great memories. Keep them!

4. Create a Caterpillar Farm!

  

   Keeping them - from eating your plants - uncontrollably.

5. Spring Break!

    Lucky you.

6 Uniquely Useful How-To Apps

   Almost everything in the world need guides. Peoples that have a religion need their gods' guides so they don't go to the wrong way. A craft-maker (like us) needs guides about making a craft, or using some specific craft materials. Conclusion: We All Need Guides.

   And that's why some people make how-to apps, so we know how to make / repair things!

   (By the way, this is my first 'list-of-websites' post since my blog's very first post ... )

1. Instructables

   

    Instructables is my favorite how-to app, you know! It has tons of How-Tos from many kinds of topics, and also, we can post our own!

   Its other uniqueness is, we can compete in many competitions - and they have cool prizes for the winners! But I hate its outdated smartphone UI & logo ... hope they will update 'em!

2. WikiHow

    Alike its counterpart Instructables, WikiHow also contains many how-tos (and yes, we can also post our own there), but it focuses more in topics about life (like 'How to Have a Talent, How to be Interesting, How to Travel in Russia, etc.) But it still has topics about DIYs, so don't worry!

   Unfortunately, like Instructables, It has out-of-date smartphone UI & logo. Seriously ...

3. Pinterest

    Pinterest has many functions, I think. It can be our inspiration source, and also our how-to website. Nowadays we can find tutorials about making ROBOTS - so, that's why I think Pinterest is also a how-to app.

   For its UI & logo, I think they are simple yet beautiful! Just hoping that one day, they will create a craft competition / event ...

4. BrightNest

   It's like WikiHow for your home! It has many types of clever household hacks! Also, it provides to-do lists, so you know which projects you should do next. Plus, ... an interactive home quiz! This app is so awesome!

5. Snapguide

    If you need an Instructables in your life but you prefer something fancier, Snapguide is the one for you! Yes, it looks like Instructables, but with georgeous UI that looks like Pinterest's. And they also held contests!

   Basically, Trusper is Snapguide with funny blue tosca color. But it has unique Q&A page, where you can post some photos in your questions, plus a page for redeeming your gift cards. Simply cool!

   Have you ever find some cool blogs + bloggers in Instagram? My answer is, obviously, yes! Usually I didn't know them because they don't do ad / button swaps with blogs I usually read, but that doesn't mean they don't have cool blogs! Here are some lists of 'em! (Some of them are just cool Instagram-ers that don't have blog, so ...)

   I still don't know about her secrets of how to make and write beautiful journals! I am not a master of decorating journals - although, yes I have a journal (for topic ideas, visit here). And for y'all journal-writers, you must follow this awesome account. IT'S SO FREAKIN' AWESOME.

2. @graciusblog

   Seriously, her stationeries are freakin'ly cute and unique! She also have some helpful tips and recipes and many more! Plus, her cat is very, very, very ... cute ...

3. @bella.renehan

   Pale pink + gray = perfect! That's how I told you about her blog - seriously, it's simple, but also colorful! And it's full of things we love - DIYs and fashions! You can find 'em here ... go on!

   Seriously, who doesn't love pastel colors? From its name, you know that it's full of pastel colors, and well ... yes, it's true! Her Instagram, her blog ... pastel colors everywhere! And she have so much cool DIYs and fashion inspirations ... here!

Inspirations & Others #1

   I have a compilation of inspirations for you today! To be honest, I post them in one post either because their tutorials are too short to have their own posts, or because I want to share it to you - but already made it without taking photos for tutorial, and don't have some of the materials to make another.

   You just need a note book, a glue, some washi tapes, some cute illustrations (I got them from National Geographic for Kids' Fun Stuff Pages), some markers, scissors and some cardstock papers.

When It's Close to Exam Season ...

   This week, my school hold exams for grade 1 to grade 5. That's why these days I rarely post anything. And yes, they make me bored. Stack of books, pencils everywhere, crumpled papers, no laptop, TRIPLE NOPE. So, this weekend, let's having fun! (based on a research, don't study in the night before the exam. Just chill.)

1. Read Tapastic Comic

   Visual comics are booming right now. But sometimes, if you want an instant reading, you can download its app in Play Store ore App Store. It has many kind of visual comics. Don't forget to subscribe for the comic you want so you don't have to search whole app for it. One more thing: you can also upload your comic there!

2. Play Games

    GAMES, the lord of relaxing brain for over 20 years. If you love something challenging, you can try something like Candy Crush Saga or Disney's Free Fall Series, like Maleficent Free Fall or Frozen Free Fall. Board games lover? Try chess or Classic Words Plus. Oldschool style? Perfect to play Battleship or Tetris. Or, play quiz games - they can help you studying!

3. Instructabling

   Saturday morning, you got up at 7am. You hear your father yelled from the backyard, ordered you to help him making a wooden boat. Then, from the bedroom, your mother shouted to you, gave an order to help her making a crochet bag. Worried? Open Instructables to find many Do-It-Yourself tutorials. You can also publish your own tutorials and compete in challenging contests there. Read it here or download the app.

4. Read Some Books

   Books can help you relax. Books can give you informations you needed for exams without feeling forced to study.
   I like reading novels with cool / awesome cover design and illustrations. They make me feel very confident to read them in trains, planes, cars, etc. If you don't like 'traditional' books, you can try e-books. My favorite sources are Wattpad, Scribd, and Widbook.

5. Play Some Musics / Videos

   Musics help me (and also you, obviously) relax. There are many music-streaming apps & websites out there, My fav is, of course, YOUTUBE! But there are also Myspace, Soundhound, TuneIn Radio, and bloggers' favorite, Grooveshark. It's your choice to choose, though.

What? You still feel bored yet? Okay, now go to the nearest mall. Maybe it can helps you.

Tips for a Good Digital Scrapbook

 

   If you love scrapbook but : hate-being-messy-when-making-one, busy businesswoman, or in a low-budget-status college student, you will love digital scrapbook. No mess and flexible time! And the best thing is... yes, you can find many free supplies for it! If you are a newbie in digital scrapbooking, here are some tips for you!

1. Use Adobe Photoshop
   I don't push you to use this app. I know, there are many online digital scrapbook app, but if your internet broken, you can use Adobe Photoshop. Did not require any internet connections (except when you download it). The good point is, you can add emboss detail or shadow detail to make your digital scrapbook looks more real. But the menus are a bit confusing. Fortunately, Shabby Princess has the tutorials for digital scrapbooking here.

2. Don't Use Supplies from Stock Photos
   Seriously, there are many websites that have free digital scrapbooking supplies, so why you use stock photos? Okay then. Pixel Scrapper has many kinds of free supplies here.

3. Search for an Inspiration
   Are you a newbie? It's okay. To make a stand-out digital scrapbook, you have to frequently search for inspirations. But remember: don't copy someone else's digiscrap.
   You can find many inspirations from Pinterest, Google Images, or digital scrapbook websites.

4. Ask
   Time to get up! Then ask those digital scrapbooking's experts. Don't be shy, if they answer your questions, you are one of the most luckiest people in the world.

5. Make a Blueprint or Template
   Sometimes, we are getting confused when making a digiscrap.
   "Where I should place this photo? What about these embellishments? And these photos too?"
   It's easy. Just search 'digital scrapbooking templates' and you can find some arrangement inspirations for digiscraps. Or you can just draw it on a paper.

 Scrapbooks are booming right now around the world! You can find many scrapbooks store in malls or maybe, online shop. But, usually, scrapbook supplies are expensive, like in my country, Indonesia.
