   No, I live near the equator. There are no such things as spring, summer, autumn, winter - there are only drought and rainy season - oh wait, durian season, mango season, holiday season, rambutan season, ...
   Well, as an equator person, I don't know much common things in spring, but I have some spring to-do ideas for your to-do lists!

1. Make Pom-poms!
  

   

   Making pom-poms is a fun thing to do! It looks a bit difficult, but it's not that complicated, trust me. Plus, there are many cute and unique pom-pom tutorials out there!

2. Paint Your Planters!

 

   Flowers usually blossom when it's spring. Make their planters blossom, too!

3. Make Mini Roadtrip Journals!

  

   Roadtrips leave us many great memories. Keep them!

4. Create a Caterpillar Farm!

  

   Keeping them - from eating your plants - uncontrollably.

5. Spring Break!

    Lucky you.

Inspirations & Others #1

   I have a compilation of inspirations for you today! To be honest, I post them in one post either because their tutorials are too short to have their own posts, or because I want to share it to you - but already made it without taking photos for tutorial, and don't have some of the materials to make another.

1.

Washi Tape Paper Clip

   All you need are a paperclip and a washi tape. Stick the tape on the paper clip, and ta-da!

   DIY Notebook Cover

   You just need a note book, a glue, some washi tapes, some cute illustrations (I got them from National Geographic for Kids' Fun Stuff Pages), some markers, scissors and some cardstock papers.

   Cardstock papers, some markers, scissors, washi tapes, and a ruler - it's that simple.

   Not exactly a DIY, actually. It's an abandoned CD holder :D

Pumped Up 4 Test!

   Hi all! Long time no see!

   So... basically, every month is a hell month for us, the 6th grader. Surprise tests, morning class, maths...

   In my school, from 4th to 5th grade, we have to cover our notebooks with brown papers (kraft papers, maybe?). It's sooooo boring, I think. Look, 2 problems!

   One day, I draw on my notebook's brown cover. Nah, just some lists of airports around the world. But this doesn't even bother my teacher, so I started to decorate my other books' covers. In various ways, of course.

1.

  Washi tapes. The quickest way to decorate things.

2. 

   The tree was taken from my magazine. Sometimes I think it looks like a biology book (actually, it's for History and Social Studies).

3. 

   

 This is the one whom I used to write names of some airports around the world on. Actually, I just wanted to decorate it using colorful markers for the names, but I wanted to experiment with washi tapes, soo... well...

4. 

   Classic, ol' wrapping paper!

DIY Back-to-School

 

 Well, (in my country) school starts a few weeks ago, so yes, this post is, actually, late. But no problem, I think.

   Now for (late) celebrating back-2-school, I'll show you how to make a mini notebook from cardboard box! Let's get started!

1. Materials

   All you need are a cardboard and some unused papers (the size is 20x14 cm), a (super)glue, a washi tape, scissors, plastic/paper ribbons, and a pen or marker.

2. Let's Make!

    a. 

   Put the papers on the cardboard, then fold them like in this photo. If there are some papers longer than the cardboard, cut them.

   b. 

   Place a plastic ribbon around the papers and the cardboard, then glue it using the (super)glue. Wait until the glue running dry.

   c. 

   Now, open it widely, then decorate it! I use washi tape, anyway, but you can also use stickers, colorful markers, the possibilities are endless!

   d. 

   Yay! Now your fancy mini-notebook is ready to use! Enjoy!

Life Hacks #3: How to Make Loom Chains #2

   Well, remember the first post? When I show you how to make loom chains? Now I will show you how to make the same loom with a bit 'modification'. Prepare your loom kit, we are going to go!

Spoiler again: This is the result

1. Materials

   Loom kit. Admit it.

2. Get Started!

   

   A. Place a '8' band and two '0' bands on your loom.

   B. As usual, using the hook, pull the '8' band so it clamp the other two '0' bands.

   C. As you see, slip the hook between the '8' band, place two bands near the tip of it, pull them, and you are right if your result is like 3rd photo.

   D. Do again the C's steps, but now, place only ONE band near the tip of the hook, pull it over, and the result is like 3rd photo.

   Now follow the sequence (C-D) until the chains are long enough for your purpose. And that's all. But it's a bit complicated too, you know.

DIY Caterpillar Farm

    Holiday's almost over, most of my friends are still on a vacation, but hey, I still have a friend here! A caterpillar-you can call it 'Piitter' (don't ask me why I give it that name). It's an ordinary caterpillar you can find at orange plants. I keep it (and another 12 caterpillars I had kept) in some jars. It's like having a caterpillar farm! You can give them leaves, watch them grow, become cocoon, then pop! Become some beautiful butterflies! There are so many ways to keep them, but I use one of the simplest ways! Let's get started!

1. Materials

 

   All you need to make a caterpillar farm are an empty (I recommended from glass) jar, a rubber band, a gauze, some leaves, and of course your little friend, caterpillar(s).

2. Place The Caterpillar and The Leaves

 
    My caterpillar is a bit fretful, so I put it in the jar first so it cannot run everywhere. Moreover, it was windy that day. I don't want my caterpillar and the leaves fly in the wind.

3. Place the Gauze

     Now place the gauze on the mouth of the jar. Why I choose gauze? Because it can prevent the caterpillar to escape and preclude any insects, but the caterpillar can still breath!

4. Place the Rubber Band

  
   Now place the rubber band around the jar's neck.

5. Ta-Ra!

  
   Now you have your own caterpillar farm! You can put it outside or in the house, too! But don't forget to give the caterpillar leaves so it will not starving!

DIY Jar Label

   Hello everyone! Now I want to show you how to make a decorative jar for your accessories! Like this:

 
    I am thinking about this when I was ran out of spaces for my accessories. I had posted it to Instructables, too, if you have the app or account. So here's what you need:

   You need an empty jar, a pencil or a marker, a glue, scissors, a sticker paper, and a magazine (I prefer the kid's magazine. They have many colorful images). If you have everything that needed in this tutorial, let's get started!

1.

   The first thing you need to do is measure the length and width of the brand's sticker with the sticker paper. Don't forget to mark it with a marker or a pencil.

2.

  
   After marked it, cut the sticker paper.

3.

   Now let's hunting illustration! After you find it, mark it with marker with the same width and length of the sticker paper you had cut before.

   Cut the illustration.

5.

  
Stick it with the sticker paper using a glue.

6.

   Tear off the other side of the sticker paper, like this.

7.

   The last thing you have to do is stick the paper, and taraa...! This is your 'upgraded' jar! Now you can fill it with accessories or keys or stationery! Do you have any jar-decorating ideas?

Just Some Life Hacks

   Happy Lazy-Boring-Grumpy Day! Now I want to show you some common-and-simple life hacks for all of you!

1. 5 Minutes-or-Less Sketchbook/Notebook
   

   The most common life hack. Perfect for a 'rookie artist'. You can use it when you attend a seminar, or in a math test. Remember this formula: Pc+SP (Paper Clip+Some Paper).

2. Simple Page Marker
   

   A Simple-but-not-too-simple life hack. Just cover an ice cream stick with washi tape, and then, Voila!

3. Special: Ink Box Life Hacks
   In Indonesia, we buy a stamp from a stamp maker. They always included an ink box. Yesterday, I found an abandoned ink box. I want to throw it to the trash bin, but then, I thought I could made some crafts from it! Yes, and these are the results:

a. Photo Frame from an Ink Box
    These are what you need:
   

- a scissor
- an ink box
- a glue
- some paper tape/washi tape
- a photo (well, I took that photo from a newspaper)

How to make:
1.

    See those stains? Well, that make your photo looks 'eew' and 'ugly' and maybe, cheap. So, all you need is stick those tape on it.

2.

   After sticking those tapes, now you can stick the photo with glue. I recommended super glue or double-sided tape, but I don't have any of them.

3.

   See the other side? The only thing to do is, stick another photo on it. Blank page is boring, right? (P.S: You can stick another photo, a quote, a magazine page, whatever you want)

4. This is it!
   

   Yay! Here's the final! Now you can decorate it as you want!

b. Mini-Note Holder and Card Holder from an Ink Box
    Not only photo frame, you can transform it into mini-note holder and card holder! Just cut some paper, and put them inside the ink box. Here's the result:
